I was directed towards this site, which claims that as of October 1st it will be able to give everyone broadband speeds through a 56k moden and people with adsl etc. will be able to download 4 times faster. The price for this service? apparently absolutely nothing
Does this sound like a load of horse-shit? I've applied for information etc. trying to find out, and it looks like a fairly reputable company and they haven't asked for any banking/financial details, so as far as I can see the only way they'd be able to make any money from it would be to sell my e-mail address on, but that doesn't quite seem worth the effort to me.
I'm sure someone will be able to tell if it is legit or not, but i'm sure it will be as it does look too good to be true.

Those Nigerians are really slow. I've replied to loads of emails from the wives of murdered Nigerians and sent them my bank account details, but it must take a really long time to trasfer those millions all the way from Nigeria to my bank account.

I ran a quick google search on their address and I think its one of these rentable postal addresses, as there seem to be hundreds of companies located at this one address.

I got another one of those emails today. It was sent from an Italian email address by someone with a very English name. I had allegedly won US$2.5 million in a German lottery. It was signed by the chairman of the Afro-Asian lottery council. How did I win this? My Dutch email address had been linked to the winning numbers! Oh yes!
How much less credible can they make these things...??
