lol. That was magic. Is it just me, or is the image of Mart just standing there watching Vogon sleep deeply chilling and far too plausible?

You might have done, if you'd been exercising. Perhaps that's how you spent that half-hour watching Kovacs and Vogon in the love bed. Perhaps...

I actually felt queasily voyeuristic watching 'Kovacs' and 'Vogon' getting intimate. Is the divinely funny text generated by the game itself or by Misc? If so - good work.

I have to admit that I do write the narrative, but I try to base it around what's really going on. I might throw the odd embellishment or forum in-joke into the equation from time to time, but otherwise I'm just describing what's happening in the game.
I suppose I should also admit that I do sometimes encourage the sims to follow a particular path. I don't tell them what to do per se - but if they start doing something that's entertaining, I'll give them a helpful nudge to keep them on the right track.
N.B. simKovacs, simMart and simVogon really are that dirty!

Hold on... how the fuck can I as a simulated computer-generated man be chatting on "MSN" with a girl? Where does she live? Computer people are already living cyber-lives: they can't have cyber-lives within those cyber-lives.

I don't know if you realise this, but when you chat with people using an Instant Messenger, you are usually communicating with a real person. you might not know what they look like, or even where they live, but they are still real!
However, the chances are that your sim-self was chatting with someone from the same neighbourhood. You might notice people walking past the house, or even coming to the door now and again. If you make friends with them, you can phone them up and invite them over.
In fact, Episode V will introduce you to the first non-TMOite to enter the house (other than repairmen, maids, firemen, etc). I'll leave this as a soap-style cliff-hanger for you to ponder until tomorrow.

Also Misc do you actually ever read your e-mails. I need to ask you something but do not want to waste glucose typing it if you are not going to read it.

Anyway, I didn't notice a 'Rage' attribute in Misc's list of possible personality attributes so it wouldn't be much of a simulation. I do think though that we should have a black ex-asylum seeking rapper character with lots bling and a special custom 'teeth sucking' animation in the hopes that it would fuck Snorton's avatar in the ass.

omg WHY NOT go the whole hog and make my character play a PC game called The Sims, where he invents a little world with a house based on his own and peoples it with characters modelled on simNorton, simVogon et al! Then simsimKovacs in his simulated house might be nudged by simKovacs to creating a PC world of his own, ad dystopium until we all spiral into nirvanic understanding.

Glad that one's cleared up, then.
Yes - I do read my e-mails. Sometimes I even reply to them. They are considered on a per-case basis, but feel free to try your luck by sending your query/comment to ajpaynter(hat)hotmail(dotcotton)comPosts: 14015

Is there any possibility of a different outfit for my Sim? (Or is asking that a guarantee that soon enough my hapless and already humiliated Sim will soon be sporting something even more grody than a 1992-era hooded electric blue track dress from Mark 1?)

It's perfectly possible for you to get a new outfit. the only reason I haven't yet installed a wardrobe in the TMO House is to build up a recognisable character for each of you, just as Bart Simpson (almost) always wears the classic orange T-shirt and blue shorts.
I'll fit a wardrobe in your room tonight (when you're asleep), thus giving you the option of formalwear, swimwear etc. I may be able to change your default outfit, so please let me know what you'd like to be seen in.

Misc - if you also fit a Mirror, one of the options is a change of image in which you can completely overhaul an assimilation - clothes, hair etc.

I didn't realise you could change clothes in the mirror. The hair thing could be cool though. I wonder if we'll see Snorton sporting a small moustache in later episodes...
